Dr. Emma Carter opened Lumen in a two-chair office on Harbour Street with one rule: nothing happens to a patient before it's explained to them. Every visit starts with a conversation, and every treatment starts with a written estimate.
Fifteen years later we have seven chairs, four dentists and more than 18,000 patients, and the rule hasn't changed. Neither has the coffee.

Lumen opens at 48 Harbour Street with Dr. Carter and one hygienist.

Going digital
First intraoral 3D scanner in the neighbourhood. Impression trays retired.
2019
Same-day crowns
In-house milling means most crowns are designed and fitted in one visit.

A bigger home
We expand to seven treatment rooms and a dedicated children's suite.
